Mirabella and her sisters were born in Deva, Hunedoara. The children's father left, leaving their
Mother with no support. Extreme poverty and social ills left their mother unable to provide the
stability the children needed. Unable to pay rent, they were evicted, and their mother left them
alone in the small apartment. Marinella was 10 and Mirabella was 7. The children went to a local
bank asking for food to live.
A kindly bank employee alerted Lutsu (Emanuel Director) of the children's plight.
He visited their apartment and took them food. He later brought the children to join the Emanuel
Family. They adjusted very well to the stable loving environment.
The girl's older sister Otilia begged to be with her siblings at the orphanage. She
was accepted there in the summer of 1997. Otilia is now employed as an ICAF educator in the Bright
Beginning's early childhood development program at the State Orphanage in Brad.
The children have a brother Viorel, about whom nothing is known.
Since the children have entered Emanuel, they have progressed beautifully, and are
sensitive, bright, and caring children. The girls have adjusted to their home and are doing well in
school. Otilia, their older sister, has become a very responsible young lady who is very aware of
the needs of the children she assists at the State Orphanage in Brad. Mirabella is a sweet girl with the smile of an angel.
Mirabella has adjusted well and is grateful to Emanuel and the Lord for
her new home.
