| The team was busy today in
all their work assignments. Minor frustrations about lack of supplies were
overcome by the team members' chanting of "Be flexible!" So they DID remember
the first rule of mission trips. At the end of the day, a standing-room-only crowd of the families of children who had attended VBS all week came to Casa Emanuel for the family worship service. After dinner, the Emanuel children sang for us, and the team performed a couple of skits, during which some of the guys were shaved by the (blindfolded) girls, and one team member was tried in a kangaroo court and convicted by the Emanuel jury. Judge Paul then sentenced the miscreant, who was ordered to stand and receive his sentence--a bucket of water dropped on him from the third-floor window directly above. |
